Abstract
Using the example of changes in the deformation moduli of polycarbonate under mechanical load, the necessity of such a determination for modern construction technology is illustrated. In addition to simple static loading tests, a dynamic measurement method that tracks the vibration behavior of test specimens is described. The temporal progression of degradation and recovery in particular illustrates their significance for safety and reliability aspects of modern assembly technology.
